At least in CA we freak out when it sprinkles. You guys feak out when it's cloudy. "Batton down the hatches... THE CLOUDS ARE COMING!!!"
I wonder if the warning was because it was "considerable" cloudiness rather than "complete" cloud cover? To warn us that we just might see glimpses of...the SUN! Gasp! It burns, it burns!
